OUR STORY

About Netcomm

Netcomm Systems Limited was founded in 2010 by Directors Richard Barbera and Chris Sumner.

Having worked in the IT industry for many years, they created Netcomm with a vision to deliver unrivalled support to clients from the initial contact to completion. Their concept was: “How IT support should be delivered”.

The primary goal was to enable the skill set of Netcomm engineers to remain at a high level and never fall behind as technology continually progressed. It was key that our qualified engineers would be on the front line for clients, supporting them directly on calls and on site. With this level of expertise it enables the Engineer to assist the customer and provide solutions there and then.

Netcomm has grown significantly with every passing year, developing relationships along the way. We are now a Microsoft Silver Partner; can deliver HP hardware to our clients; and can offer our skills as a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) enabling us to deliver cloud services such as Office 365, Azure, virtualisation and Endpoint solutions to name a few.

LEADERSHIP

The Netcomm Management Team

Directors Richard and Chris have worked together since 2000 and progressed in roles together throughout their careers.

Director

Chris has 28 years of experience in the IT sector across platforms such as Novell, Citrix and Microsoft.

Initially he studied to become a Novell Systems Engineer delivering server and email solutions to businesses, but then trained onto Citrix due to the increasing rise for thin client technology.

With Microsoft starting to dominate the market, Chris took an early decision to study and get accredited for their server and workstation platforms. He has continued to work with Microsoft for the past 20+ years, helping to provide server solutions across the UK.

Director

Richard started his career as an IT Field Engineer back in the late nineties working for a Manchester-based IT company. He became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in 2000 and Cisco qualified in 2002.

He then worked primarily as a Microsoft Field Engineer before moving to a Project and Consultancy role for an IT and telecoms company based in Bury, Lancashire from 2007.

Netcomm gave us professional confidence when changing our IT support.
